“Skates are your foundation”
– Scott Hamilton

A properly fit boot is key to best skating performance. Improper fit is the number one cause of skate failure and poor performance. Check out our resources below – including a skate shop that has helped (and continues to help) MANY of our skaters!

Edea

Verstile fit, favors a tighter heel & ankle flexibility

Edea offers stock boots and C, B, D, and E. Edea’s FIT is focused on getting the correct size – starting with your landing foot.

Jackson

Best for wider toes and narrower heels

Jackson Boots have a rounded toe box, medium-high instep, and a medium-width heel. Stock boots are available in AA, a, B, C, and D widths.

Reidell

Best for narrower feet

Riedell boots have a tapered toe box, medium instep, and a medium-width heel. Stock boots are available in AA, a, B, and C width.

Figure skates aren’t sized like street shoes—a proper fitter will check foot length, width, arch, heel shape, and growth room to ensure the best fit. Skates should match the skater’s current level and fit snugly, with minimal toe room, for comfort, control, and safe skill development. Coaches can help guide the right boot, blade, and timing for upgrades as skaters grow and advance.
